DAY TRIPS IN SAI GON (Part 2)
Long Tan Nui Dat Battle Field (full day trip)
We always try to find some of the local Vietnamese veterans who fought in the remarkable battle of Long Tan. Although extensively documented by the survivors of Australia's heaviest engagement of the war, little is known of the Viet Cong's actions and ultimate defeat at the hands of an enemy which heavily outnumbered them. Our clients find that bringing the former protagonists together with a good interpreter and plenty of rice wine is an unforgettable experience for both sides!

Pick up at your hotel and depart for Vung Tau, stop off at Ba Ria to pick up your travel permit to the sites. Visit the Long Tan Cross, the Horse Shoe and the Long Phuoc Tunnels. After lunch, visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill). Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Finish your trip at the hotel around 5:00 PM. End of services. Finish your Long Tan Nui Dat Battle Field tour.
Mekong Delta - Cai Be
All the city buzzes make you so stressed? Want to step into a green, lush, an amazing place with friendly people? dreamland that's just Mekong Delta- vast marshland and forested area where most of Vietnam's rice is grown. You will have one day to taste the local life of the Mekong people, enjoy the feeling on the boat with the flavor of rice, fruits and the friendliness of the Mekong land.
Mekong Delta is very famous for its fascinating floating market and fruit orchards as well as its friendly people.
The 2-hour drive will take you through the beauty of typical Southern Vietnamese countryside where you can enjoy a view of immense rice paddies, coconut plantations and beautiful river
Local business will be observed through a visit to a coconut candy workshop, rice wine, rice paper and pop rice making places. After that, we will pay our visit to a fruit orchard and a typical traditional house in another village of Cai Be.
Your delicious lunch with awesome local food will be served in the house as well. When lunch ends, it is time for you to have a new experience! You will be transferred to a hand-rowing boat cruising along a beautiful shady canal to observe more and more local life on the both sides of the river. Then, we are heading back to Ho Chi Minh city.

My Tho Ben Tre The Upper Mekong River (full day trip)
Brief introduction :
Those on a tight schedule can take a day tour to My Tho. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway, bordered by green rice fields. On arrival, take a leisurely boat trip around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Enjoy a rowing boat ride in the shadows of the water-coconut palms along the tiny canals of Ben Tre Province. Visit the picturesque orchards and sample the freshly picked fruit at the invitation of friendly local farmers. Spend some time in the villages to learn about the daily lives of the inhabitants, listen to their traditional folk music and watch them gather for traditional birth and death ceremonies, or joyous weddings parties.

Enjoy the unique art of water puppet show, a traditional art form closely connected with the long-standing spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. It is performed in a pool of water with the water surface being the stage. The puppeteers stand behind a screen and control the puppets using long bamboo rods and string mechanism hidden beneath the water surface. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra provides background music accompaniment. Singers with origin in north Vietnam sing songs which tell the story being acted out by the puppets (are carved out of wood). Although the authentic shows are exclusively in Vietnamese, the tales depict rural life in villages and are easy to understand. The shows typically last for one hour and offer a colorful way to enjoy an ancient tradition.
